Geo Caching - A teenagers point of view

Geo Caching is one of the many small wonders of traveling.  Geo caching is almost like a small treasure hunt where you can find things in the weirdest places. Sometimes you even run into people that are Geo caching also. But you are basically on your own most of the time. There are 850,610 active caches worldwide.  My family has just started and we have found forty seven this summer.

During your adventures of Geo Caching you will find yourself walking through the most beautiful views of the woods or wherever you maybe.   Or you will find neighborhoods that you didn’t know existed and visit various parks.

There are all kinds of sizes.  Treasures come in Micro, Medium, Amino Box, and all sizes in between.  They are all Geo Cache registered.  Some are well hidden and take some time to find.  But not all of these caches are hard to locate.  In these Geo Caches you can find all sorts of things, like travel bugs that are trying to get to a certain place or path tags that record the journey taken.  The rest of the items are usually small trinkets or toys.

When you find your cache be sure to write your name in the logbook and then update your information on the Geo caching site.  It’s important for the person who has the Geo Cache to know who’s been there.  Also leave something you would like to trade. It’s something you and your family can do that really is fun and free!  Get out there and have fun with Geo Caching.
